Καὶ εἰσελθὼν διήρχετο τὴν Ἰεριχώ

kai eiselthōn diērcheto tēn Ierichō

And having entered was passing the Jericho

Καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ ὀνόματι καλούμενος Ζακχαῖος καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν ἀρχιτελώνης πλούσιος

kai idou anēr onomati kaloumenos Zakchaios kai autos ēn architelōnēs plousios

And Behold husband named called Zacchaeus And He was a chief tax collector a rich man

καὶ ἐζήτει ἰδεῖν τὸν Ἰησοῦν τίς ἐστιν οὐκ ἠδύνατο ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄχλου ὅτι τῇ ἡλικίᾳ μικρὸς ἦν

kai ezētei idein ton Iēsoun tis estin ouk ēdynato apo tou ochlou hoti tē hēlikia mikros ēn

And he was seeking to see the Jesus who is not was able from of the crowd - the stature small was

καὶ προδραμὼν εἰς τὸ ἔμπροσθεν ἀνέβη ἐπὶ συκομορέαν ἵνα ἴδῃ αὐτόν ὅτι ἐκείνης ἤμελλεν διέρχεσθαι

kai prodramōn eis to emprosthen anebē epi sykomorean hina idē auton hoti ekeinēs ēmellen dierchesthai

And having run for the before He went up at a sycamore-fig tree so that he should see Him - that was about to pass

kai hōs ēlthen epi ton topon anablepsas ho Iēsous eipen pros auton Zakchaie speusas katabēthi sēmeron gar en tō oikō sou dei me meinai

And as [that] came at the a place having looked up - Jesus said to Him Zacchaeus having hurried descend now for in - [the] house of You it is necessary for me to stay

kai speusas katebē kai hypedexato auton chairōn

And having hurried came down And received him rejoicing

kai idontes pantes diegongyzon legontes hoti Para hamartōlō andri eisēlthen katalysai

And having seen all were grumbling saying - With sinful for a husband he entered to abolish

Σταθεὶς δὲ Ζακχαῖος εἶπεν πρὸς τὸν Κύριον Ἰδοὺ τὰ ἡμίσιά* μου τῶν ὑπαρχόντων Κύριε τοῖς πτωχοῖς δίδωμι καὶ εἴ τινός τι ἐσυκοφάντησα ἀποδίδωμι τετραπλοῦν

statheis de Zakchaios eipen pros ton Kyrion Idou ta hēmisia mou tōn hyparchontōn Kyrie tois ptōchois didōmi kai ei tinos ti esykophantēsa apodidōmi tetraploun

Having stopped however Zacchaeus said to the [the] Lord Behold the half of Me of the means Lord on the poor I give And if of anyone anything I have defrauded I restore [it] fourfold

Akouontōn de autōn tauta prostheis eipen parabolēn dia to engys einai Ierousalēm auton kai dokein autous hoti parachrēma mellei hē basileia tou Theou anaphainesthai

Were hearing however of them these things having proceeded said parable on account of the near to be Jerusalem him And thinking they - immediately is about the kingdom of the of God to appear

said therefore A man anyone of noble birth went for region far to take Himself kingdom And to return

kalesas de deka doulous heautou edōken autois mnas kai eipen pros autous Pragmateusasthe en hō erchomai

having called however ten servants itself he gave to them minas And said to them Do business in which I come

Οἱ δὲ πολῖται αὐτοῦ ἐμίσουν αὐτόν καὶ ἀπέστειλαν πρεσβείαν ὀπίσω λέγοντες Οὐ θέλομεν τοῦτον βασιλεῦσαι ἐφ’ ἡμᾶς

hoi de politai autou emisoun auton kai apesteilan presbeian opisō legontes Ou thelomen touton basileusai eph’ hēmas

- however the citizens of Him’” hated Him And sent an embassy after saying No we desire this to reign against us?

kai egeneto en tō epanelthein auton labonta tēn basileian kai eipen phōnēthēnai autō tous doulous toutous hois dedōkei to argyrion hina gnoi tis ti diepragmateusanto

And it came to pass in - returning him having received the kingdom And said to be called to Him the servants these for whom he had given the money so that should know each Which had gained by trading

Paregeneto de ho prōtos legōn Kyrie hē mna sou deka prosērgasato mnas

Καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Εὖγε ἀγαθὲ δοῦλε ὅτι ἐν ἐλαχίστῳ πιστὸς ἐγένου ἴσθι ἐξουσίαν ἔχων ἐπάνω δέκα πόλεων

kai eipen autō Euge agathe doule hoti en elachistō pistos egenou isthi exousian echōn epanō deka poleōn

And said to Him Well done good servant - in very little faithful you were be authority having for above ten cities

And [that] came - second saying The mina of You Lord did five minas

Εἶπεν δὲ καὶ τούτῳ Καὶ σὺ ἐπάνω γίνου πέντε πόλεων

Eipen de kai toutō kai sy epanō ginou pente poleōn

Said however And to this [man] And yourself for above are to be five cities

Καὶ ὁ ἕτερος ἦλθεν λέγων Κύριε ἰδοὺ ἡ μνᾶ σου ἣν εἶχον ἀποκειμένην ἐν σουδαρίῳ

kai ho heteros ēlthen legōn Kyrie idou hē mna sou hēn eichon apokeimenēn en soudariō

And - the other [that] came saying Lord Behold the mina of You that had lying away in a piece of cloth

ἐφοβούμην γάρ σε ὅτι ἄνθρωπος αὐστηρὸς εἶ αἴρεις ὃ οὐκ ἔθηκας καὶ θερίζεις ἔσπειρας

ephoboumēn gar se hoti anthrōpos austēros ei aireis ho ouk ethēkas kai therizeis espeiras

I was afraid for You - a man harsh are You take up that which not you did lay down And you reap did you sow

Λέγει αὐτῷ Ἐκ τοῦ στόματός σου κρίνω σε πονηρὲ δοῦλε ᾔδεις ὅτι ἐγὼ ἄνθρωπος αὐστηρός εἰμι αἴρων ὃ οὐκ ἔθηκα καὶ θερίζων ἔσπειρα;

legei autō Ek tou stomatos sou krinō se ponēre doule ēdeis hoti egō anthrōpos austēros eimi airōn ho ouk ethēka kai therizōn espeira

He says to Him From of the mouth of You I will judge You evil servant You knew - I a man harsh am [He] taking up that which not I did lay down And reaping I did sow?

καὶ διὰ τί οὐκ ἔδωκάς μου τὸ ἀργύριον ἐπὶ τράπεζαν; κἀγὼ ἐλθὼν σὺν τόκῳ ἂν αὐτὸ ἔπραξα

kai dia ti ouk edōkas mou to argyrion epi trapezan kagō elthōn syn tokō an auto epraxa

And on account of Which not did you give of Me the money at [the] bank I also having come with interest - it might have collected?

Καὶ τοῖς παρεστῶσιν εἶπεν Ἄρατε ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ τὴν μνᾶν καὶ δότε τῷ τὰς δέκα μνᾶς ἔχοντι

kai tois parestōsin eipen arate ap’ autou tēn mnan kai dote tō tas deka mnas echonti

And on the standing by said Take from of Him’” the mina And give - the ten minas having

Καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ Κύριε ἔχει δέκα μνᾶς

kai eipan autō Kyrie echei deka mnas

And they said to Him Lord has ten minas

Λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι παντὶ τῷ ἔχοντι δοθήσεται ἀπὸ δὲ τοῦ μὴ ἔχοντος καὶ ὃ ἔχει ἀρθήσεται

Legō hymin hoti panti tō echonti dothēsetai apo de tou mē echontos kai ho echei arthēsetai

I say to you - every - having it will be given from however of the not having And that which has will be taken away

πλὴν τοὺς ἐχθρούς μου τούτους μὴ θελήσαντάς με βασιλεῦσαι ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς ἀγάγετε ὧδε καὶ κατασφάξατε ἔμπροσθέν

plēn tous echthrous mou toutous mē thelēsantas me basileusai ep’ autous agagete hōde kai katasphaxate emprosthen

besides the enemies of Me these not having been willing [for] me to reign in they bring here And slay before

kai eipōn tauta eporeueto emprosthen anabainōn eis Hierosolyma

And having said these things He was going away before going up for Jerusalem

And it came to pass as drew near for Bethphage And Bethany to the mountain called of Olives He sent two of the disciples

legōn Hypagete eis tēn katenanti kōmēn en hē eisporeuomenoi heurēsete pōlon dedemenon eph’ hon oudeis pōpote anthrōpōn ekathisen kai lysantes auton agagete

saying Go for the before village in which entering you will find a colt having been tied against which no one ever yet of men has sat And having untied [them] him bring

And if anyone you asked Because of Which do you untie [it]? thus you will say Why - Lord of Him’” need has

Apelthontes de hoi apestalmenoi heuron kathōs eipen autois

λυόντων δὲ αὐτῶν τὸν πῶλον εἶπαν οἱ κύριοι αὐτοῦ πρὸς αὐτούς Τί λύετε πῶλον;

lyontōn de autōn ton pōlon eipan hoi kyrioi autou pros autous Ti lyete pōlon

On untying however of them the a colt they said - masters of Him’” to them What untie you colt?

And they brought him to the Jesus And having cast of them the garments at a colt they put on [it]

engizontos de autou ēdē pros tē katabasei tou orous tōn Elaiōn ērxanto hapan to plēthos mathētōn chairontes ainein ton Theon phōnē megalē peri pasōn hōn eidon dynameōn

Drawing near however of Him’” already to the descent of the mountain of the of Olives began all the a multitude disciples rejoicing to praise the God in a voice loud around all of what things they saw [the] mighty works

kai apokritheis eipen Legō hymin hoti ean houtoi siōpēsousin hoi lithoi kraxousin

And He answering said I say to you - if These will be silent - stones will cry out

saying - If you had known in the days this And yourself the to peace now however they are hidden from eyes of You

hoti hēxousin hēmerai epi se kai parembalousin hoi echthroi sou charaka soi perikyklōsousin se synexousin pantothen

- will come [the] days at You And will cast around - enemies of You a barricade to You they will surround You will hem in from every quarter

καὶ ἐδαφιοῦσίν σε τὰ τέκνα σου ἐν σοί οὐκ ἀφήσουσιν λίθον ἐπὶ ἀνθ’ ὧν ἔγνως τὸν καιρὸν τῆς ἐπισκοπῆς

kai edaphiousin se ta tekna sou en soi ouk aphēsousin lithon epi anth’ hōn egnōs ton kairon tēs episkopēs

saying to them It has been written: And it will be - house of Me a house of prayer you however him you did [it] a den of robbers’
