21:1
Καὶ ὅτε ἤγγισαν εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα καὶ ἦλθον Βηθφαγὴ τὸ ὄρος τῶν Ἐλαιῶν τότε Ἰησοῦς ἀπέστειλεν δύο μαθητὰς
kai hote ēngisan eis Hierosolyma kai ēlthon Bēthphagē to oros tōn Elaiōn tote Iēsous apesteilen dyo mathētas
And when they drew near for Jerusalem And they came Bethphage the mountain of the of Olives then Jesus He sent two disciples

λέγων αὐτοῖς Πορεύεσθε εἰς τὴν κώμην κατέναντι ὑμῶν καὶ εὐθέως* εὑρήσετε ὄνον δεδεμένην πῶλον μετ’ αὐτῆς λύσαντες ἀγάγετέ μοι
legōn autois Poreuesthe eis tēn kōmēn katenanti hymōn kai eutheōs heurēsete onon dedemenēn pōlon met’ autēs lysantes agagete moi
saying to them Go for the village before you And immediately you will find a donkey having been tied a colt with her having untied [them] bring [them] Me

καὶ ἐάν τις ὑμῖν εἴπῃ τι ἐρεῖτε ὅτι Ὁ Κύριος αὐτῶν χρείαν ἔχει εὐθὺς δὲ ἀποστελεῖ αὐτούς

And if anyone to you says anything you will say - - Lord of them need has immediately however He will send them

Εἴπατε τῇ θυγατρὶ Σιών Ἰδοὺ ὁ Βασιλεύς σου ἔρχεταί σοι πραῢς καὶ ἐπιβεβηκὼς ἐπὶ ὄνον πῶλον υἱὸν ὑποζυγίου
Eipate tē thygatri Siōn Idou ho Basileus sou erchetai soi praus kai epibebēkōs epi onon pōlon huion hypozygiou
Say the daughter of Zion Behold - King of You comes to You gentle And mounted at a donkey a colt son of a beast of burden’”

Ὁ δὲ πλεῖστος ὄχλος ἔστρωσαν ἑαυτῶν τὰ ἱμάτια ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἄλλοι ἔκοπτον κλάδους ἀπὸ τῶν δένδρων καὶ ἐστρώννυον
ho de pleistos ochlos estrōsan heautōn ta himatia en tē hodō alloi ekopton kladous apo tōn dendrōn kai estrōnnyon
- however great crowd spread them the garments in the way these were cutting down branches from of the trees And were spreading [them]

Οἱ δὲ ὄχλοι οἱ προάγοντες αὐτὸν καὶ ἀκολουθοῦντες ἔκραζον λέγοντες Ὡσαννὰ τῷ υἱῷ Δαυίδ Εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου τοῖς ὑψίστοις
hoi de ochloi hoi proagontes auton kai akolouthountes ekrazon legontes Hōsanna tō huiō Dauid Eulogēmenos ho erchomenos en onomati Kyriou tois hypsistois
- however crowds - going before him And following crying out saying Hosanna - Son of David Blessed is - coming in named of [the] Lord on the highest”

Καὶ εἰσελθόντος αὐτοῦ εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα ἐσείσθη πᾶσα ἡ πόλις λέγουσα Τίς ἐστιν οὗτος;

And having entered of Him’” for Jerusalem was stirred all the city saying Who is this?

Οἱ δὲ ὄχλοι ἔλεγον Οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ προφήτης Ἰησοῦς ἀπὸ Ναζαρὲθ τῆς Γαλιλαίας

- however crowds were saying This is - a prophet Jesus from Nazareth - of Galilee

Καὶ εἰσῆλθεν Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὸ ἱερόν καὶ ἐξέβαλεν πάντας τοὺς πωλοῦντας ἀγοράζοντας ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ τὰς τραπέζας τῶν κολλυβιστῶν κατέστρεψεν καθέδρας πωλούντων περιστεράς
kai eisēlthen Iēsous eis to hieron kai exebalen pantas tous pōlountas agorazontas en tō hierō tas trapezas tōn kollybistōn katestrepsen kathedras pōlountōn peristeras
And he entered Jesus for the temple And He cast out all the selling buying in - temple the tables of the money changers He overturned seats selling doves

καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Γέγραπται Ὁ οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς κληθήσεται ὑμεῖς δὲ αὐτὸν ποιεῖτε Σπήλαιον λῃστῶν
kai legei autois Gegraptai ho oikos mou oikos proseuchēs klēthēsetai hymeis de auton poieite spēlaion lēstōn
And He says to them It has been written: - house of Me a house of prayer will be called you however him make a den of robbers’

Καὶ προσῆλθον αὐτῷ τυφλοὶ καὶ χωλοὶ ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ ἐθεράπευσεν αὐτούς

And came to Him blind [men] And lame in - temple He healed them

ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ γραμματεῖς τὰ θαυμάσια ἃ ἐποίησεν τοὺς παῖδας κράζοντας ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ λέγοντας Ὡσαννὰ υἱῷ Δαυίδ ἠγανάκτησαν
idontes de hoi archiereis kai grammateis ta thaumasia ha epoiēsen tous paidas krazontas en tō hierō legontas Hōsanna huiō Dauid ēganaktēsan
having seen however - chief priests And scribes the wonders what did the boys crying out in - temple saying Hosanna Son of David were indignant

καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ Ἀκούεις τί οὗτοι λέγουσιν; Ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς Ναί οὐδέποτε ἀνέγνωτε ὅτι Ἐκ στόματος νηπίων θηλαζόντων Κατηρτίσω αἶνον;
kai eipan autō Akoueis ti houtoi legousin ho de Iēsous legei autois Nai oudepote anegnōte hoti Ek stomatos nēpiōn thēlazontōn katērtisō ainon
And they said to Him Hear you Which These say? - however Jesus He says to them Yes never did you read - From [the] mouth of babes sucklings You have prepared for yourself praise’

Καὶ καταλιπὼν αὐτοὺς ἐξῆλθεν ἔξω τῆς πόλεως εἰς Βηθανίαν καὶ ηὐλίσθη ἐκεῖ
kai katalipōn autous exēlthen exō tēs poleōs eis Bēthanian kai ēulisthē ekei
And having left they it came forth out - city for Bethany And He passed the night there

καὶ ἰδὼν συκῆν μίαν ἐπὶ τῆς ὁδοῦ ἦλθεν ἐπ’ αὐτήν οὐδὲν εὗρεν ἐν αὐτῇ εἰ μὴ φύλλα μόνον λέγει 〈〈Οὐ〉 μηκέτι ἐκ σοῦ καρπὸς γένηται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐξηράνθη παραχρῆμα ἡ συκῆ
kai idōn sykēn mian epi tēs hodou ēlthen ep’ autēn ouden heuren en autē ei mē phylla monon legei Ou mēketi ek sou karpos genētai eis ton aiōna exēranthē parachrēma hē sykē
And having seen a fig tree one at - route [that] came in her anything she found in on her if not leaves only He says Never no longer from you fruit becomes for the age it withered away immediately the fig tree

Καὶ ἰδόντες οἱ μαθηταὶ ἐθαύμασαν λέγοντες Πῶς παραχρῆμα ἐξηράνθη ἡ συκῆ;
kai idontes hoi mathētai ethaumasan legontes Pōs parachrēma exēranthē hē sykē
And having seen - disciples marveled saying How immediately it withered away the fig tree?

Ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ἐὰν ἔχητε πίστιν καὶ μὴ διακριθῆτε οὐ μόνον τὸ τῆς συκῆς ποιήσετε ἀλλὰ κἂν τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ εἴπητε Ἄρθητι βλήθητι εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν γενήσεται
apokritheis de ho Iēsous eipen autois Amēn legō hymin ean echēte pistin kai mē diakrithēte ou monon to tēs sykēs poiēsete alla kan tō orei toutō eipēte Arthēti blēthēti eis tēn thalassan genēsetai
Answering however - Jesus said to them Truly I say to you if you have faith And not do doubt not only the - fig tree will you do But even - mountain to this [man] tell Be you taken away be you cast for the Sea it will be done

καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἂν αἰτήσητε ἐν τῇ προσευχῇ πιστεύοντες λήμψεσθε
kai panta hosa an aitēsēte en tē proseuchē pisteuontes lēmpsesthe
And all how much - you might ask in the prayer” believing you will receive

Καὶ ἐλθόντος αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν προσῆλθον αὐτῷ διδάσκοντι οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ πρεσβύτεροι τοῦ λαοῦ λέγοντες Ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιεῖς; τίς σοι ἔδωκεν τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην;
kai elthontos autou eis to hieron prosēlthon autō didaskonti hoi archiereis kai presbyteroi tou laou legontes en poia exousia tauta poieis tis soi edōken tēn exousian tautēn
And having come of Him’” for the temple came to Him teaching - chief priests And elders of the people saying By what authority these things are You doing? who to You he gave the authority this?

Ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἐρωτήσω ὑμᾶς κἀγὼ λόγον ἕνα ὃν ἐὰν εἴπητέ μοι ὑμῖν ἐρῶ ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ
apokritheis de ho Iēsous eipen autois Erōtēsō hymas kagō logon hena hon ean eipēte moi hymin erō en poia exousia tauta poiō
Answering however - Jesus said to them Will ask you I also matter one which if you tell Me to you I will tell in what authority these things I do

τὸ βάπτισμα Ἰωάννου πόθεν ἦν; ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἢ ἀνθρώπων; Οἱ δὲ διελογίζοντο ἐν ἑαυτοῖς λέγοντες Ἐὰν εἴπωμεν Ἐξ ἐρεῖ ἡμῖν Διὰ τί οὖν οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ;
to baptisma Iōannou pothen ēn ex ouranou ē anthrōpōn hoi de dielogizonto en heautois legontes Ean eipōmen Ex erei hēmin Dia ti oun ouk episteusate autō
the [a] baptism John how was it? out of air or men? - however they were reasoning in themselves saying If we should say From He will say to us Because of Which therefore not did you believe Him?

And answering - of Jesus they said Not do we know Answered to them Himself Neither I I say to you in what authority these things I do

Τί δὲ ὑμῖν δοκεῖ; ἄνθρωπος εἶχεν τέκνα δύο [καὶ] προσελθὼν τῷ πρώτῳ εἶπεν Τέκνον ὕπαγε σήμερον ἐργάζου ἐν ἀμπελῶνι
Ti de hymin dokei anthrōpos eichen tekna dyo kai proselthōn tō prōtō eipen Teknon hypage sēmeron ergazou en ampelōni
What however to you do think? a man it had children two and having come to [her] - first said Son go now work in vineyard

Προσελθὼν δὲ τῷ δευτέρῳ εἶπεν ὡσαύτως Ὁ ἀποκριθεὶς Ἐγώ* κύριε* καὶ* οὐκ* ἀπῆλθεν

Ἄλλην παραβολὴν ἀκούσατε Ἄνθρωπος ἦν οἰκοδεσπότης ὅστις ἐφύτευσεν ἀμπελῶνα καὶ φραγμὸν αὐτῷ περιέθηκεν ὤρυξεν ἐν ληνὸν ᾠκοδόμησεν πύργον ἐξέδετο αὐτὸν γεωργοῖς ἀπεδήμησεν

Λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Κακοὺς κακῶς ἀπολέσει αὐτούς καὶ τὸν ἀμπελῶνα ἐκδώσεται ἄλλοις γεωργοῖς οἵτινες ἀποδώσουσιν τοὺς καρποὺς ἐν τοῖς καιροῖς αὐτῶν
legousin autō Kakous kakōs apolesei autous kai ton ampelōna ekdōsetai allois geōrgois hoitines apodōsousin tous karpous en tois kairois autōn
They say to Him [The] wretches sick will lose them And the vineyard he will rent out to others to farmers such as they will give the fruits in on the seasons of them

Λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς Οὐδέποτε ἀνέγνωτε ἐν ταῖς γραφαῖς Λίθον ὃν ἀπεδοκίμασαν οἱ οἰκοδομοῦντες Οὗτος ἐγενήθη εἰς κεφαλὴν γωνίας Παρὰ Κυρίου ἐγένετο αὕτη Καὶ ἔστιν θαυμαστὴ ὀφθαλμοῖς ἡμῶν;
legei autois ho Iēsous Oudepote anegnōte en tais graphais Lithon hon apedokimasan hoi oikodomountes Houtos egenēthē eis kephalēn gōnias Para Kyriou egeneto hautē kai estin thaumastē ophthalmois hēmōn
He says to them - Jesus Never did you read in - Scriptures: [The] stone which rejected - building This has become for head corner With of [the] Lord it came to pass this And is marvelous [the] eyes of us’

Διὰ τοῦτο λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἀρθήσεται ἀφ’ ὑμῶν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ δοθήσεται ἔθνει ποιοῦντι τοὺς καρποὺς αὐτῆς
Dia touto legō hymin hoti arthēsetai aph’ hymōn hē basileia tou Theou kai dothēsetai ethnei poiounti tous karpous autēs
Because of this I say to you - will be taken away from you the kingdom of the of God And it will be given to a people producing the fruits her

καὶ ὁ πεσὼν ἐπὶ τὸν λίθον τοῦτον συνθλασθήσεται ἐφ’ ὃν δ’ ἂν πέσῃ λικμήσει αὐτόν
kai ho pesōn epi ton lithon touton synthlasthēsetai eph’ hon d’ an pesē likmēsei auton
And - having fallen at the stone this will be broken against which however - it shall fall it will grind to powder Him
