8:1

Ἐν ἐκείναις ταῖς ἡμέραις πάλιν πολλοῦ ὄχλου ὄντος καὶ μὴ ἐχόντων τί φάγωσιν προσκαλεσάμενος τοὺς μαθητὰς λέγει αὐτοῖς
en ekeinais tais hēmerais palin pollou ochlou ontos kai mē echontōn ti phagōsin proskalesamenos tous mathētas legei autois
By those - days again great crowd being And not having Which to eat having called to [Him] the disciples He says to them

Σπλαγχνίζομαι ἐπὶ τὸν ὄχλον ὅτι ἤδη ἡμέραι τρεῖς προσμένουσίν μοι καὶ οὐκ ἔχουσιν τί φάγωσιν
Splanchnizomai epi ton ochlon hoti ēdē hēmerai treis prosmenousin moi kai ouk echousin ti phagōsin
I am moved with compassion at the crowd - already [the] days three they continue Me And not have Which to eat

καὶ ἐὰν ἀπολύσω αὐτοὺς νήστεις εἰς οἶκον αὐτῶν ἐκλυθήσονται ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ καί τινες ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἥκασιν*
kai ean apolysō autous nēsteis eis oikon autōn eklythēsontai en tē hodō kai tines apo makrothen hēkasin
And if I shall send away they hungry for house of them they will faint in the way and some from afar are come

Καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ὅτι Πόθεν τούτους δυνήσεταί τις ὧδε χορτάσαι ἄρτων ἐπ’ ἐρημίας;
kai apekrithēsan autō hoi mathētai autou hoti Pothen toutous dynēsetai tis hōde chortasai artōn ep’ erēmias
And answered to Him - disciples of Him’” - From where these will be able anyone here to satisfy with bread in this desolate place?

Καὶ ἠρώτα αὐτούς Πόσους ἔχετε ἄρτους; Οἱ δὲ εἶπαν Ἑπτά

Καὶ παραγγέλλει τῷ ὄχλῳ ἀναπεσεῖν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ λαβὼν τοὺς ἑπτὰ ἄρτους εὐχαριστήσας ἔκλασεν ἐδίδου τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ ἵνα παρατιθῶσιν παρέθηκαν
kai parangellei tō ochlō anapesein epi tēs gēs kai labōn tous hepta artous eucharistēsas eklasen edidou tois mathētais autou hina paratithōsin parethēkan
And He directs - crowd to recline at - land And having taken the seven loaves having given thanks He broke [them] began yielding on the disciples of Him’” so that they might set before they set [it] before

καὶ εἶχον* ἰχθύδια ὀλίγα εὐλογήσας αὐτὰ εἶπεν ταῦτα παρατιθέναι
kai eichon ichthydia oliga eulogēsas auta eipen tauta paratithenai
And they had small fish a few having blessed them said these things to be set before [them]

Καὶ ἔφαγον καὶ ἐχορτάσθησαν ἦραν περισσεύματα κλασμάτων ἑπτὰ σπυρίδας
kai ephagon kai echortasthēsan ēran perisseumata klasmatōn hepta spyridas
And ate And were satisfied took up over and above of fragments seven baskets

Καὶ ἐξῆλθον οἱ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ ἤρξαντο συζητεῖν αὐτῷ ζητοῦντες παρ’ αὐτοῦ σημεῖον ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ πειράζοντες αὐτόν
kai exēlthon hoi Pharisaioi kai ērxanto syzētein autō zētountes par’ autou sēmeion apo tou ouranou peirazontes auton

Καὶ ἀναστενάξας τῷ πνεύματι αὐτοῦ λέγει Τί ἡ γενεὰ αὕτη ζητεῖ σημεῖον; ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν εἰ δοθήσεται τῇ γενεᾷ ταύτῃ σημεῖον
kai anastenaxas tō pneumati autou legei Ti hē genea hautē zētei sēmeion amēn legō hymin ei dothēsetai tē genea tautē sēmeion

καὶ ἀφεὶς αὐτοὺς πάλιν ἐμβὰς ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὸ πέραν

Καὶ ἐπελάθοντο λαβεῖν ἄρτους καὶ εἰ μὴ ἕνα ἄρτον οὐκ εἶχον μεθ’ ἑαυτῶν ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ

καὶ διεστέλλετο αὐτοῖς λέγων Ὁρᾶτε βλέπετε ἀπὸ τῆς ζύμης τῶν Φαρισαίων Ἡρῴδου

Καὶ γνοὺς λέγει αὐτοῖς Τί διαλογίζεσθε ὅτι ἄρτους οὐκ ἔχετε; οὔπω νοεῖτε οὐδὲ συνίετε; πεπωρωμένην ἔχετε τὴν καρδίαν ὑμῶν;
kai gnous legei autois Ti dialogizesthe hoti artous ouk echete oupō noeite oude syniete pepōrōmenēn echete tēn kardian hymōn
And having known [it] He says to them What reason you - loaves not you have? Not yet understand you nor understand? Hardened have you the heart of you?

Ὀφθαλμοὺς ἔχοντες οὐ βλέπετε καὶ ὦτα οὐκ ἀκούετε; μνημονεύετε
ophthalmous echontes ou blepete kai ōta ouk akouete mnēmoneuete

ὅτε τοὺς πέντε ἄρτους ἔκλασα εἰς πεντακισχιλίους πόσους κοφίνους κλασμάτων πλήρεις ἤρατε; Λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Δώδεκα

Καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς Βηθσαϊδάν φέρουσιν αὐτῷ τυφλὸν καὶ παρακαλοῦσιν αὐτὸν ἵνα αὐτοῦ ἅψηται

καὶ ἐπιλαβόμενος τῆς χειρὸς τοῦ τυφλοῦ ἐξήνεγκεν αὐτὸν ἔξω κώμης πτύσας εἰς τὰ ὄμματα αὐτοῦ ἐπιθεὶς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῷ ἐπηρώτα αὐτόν Εἴ τι βλέπεις;

Καὶ ἀναβλέψας ἔλεγεν Βλέπω τοὺς ἀνθρώπους ὅτι ὡς δένδρα ὁρῶ περιπατοῦντας

Εἶτα πάλιν ἐπέθηκεν τὰς χεῖρας ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ διέβλεψεν ἀπεκατέστη ἐνέβλεπεν τηλαυγῶς ἅπαντα

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτὸν εἰς οἶκον αὐτοῦ λέγων Μηδὲ τὴν κώμην εἰσέλθῃς ⧼μηδὲ εἴπῃς τινὶ ἐν τῇ κώμῃ⧽
