15:1
Ἦσαν δὲ αὐτῷ ἐγγίζοντες πάντες οἱ τελῶναι καὶ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἀκούειν αὐτοῦ
ēsan de autō engizontes pantes hoi telōnai kai hamartōloi akouein autou
Were however to Him drawing near all - tax collectors And sinners to hear of Him’”

καὶ διεγόγγυζον οἵ τε Φαρισαῖοι οἱ γραμματεῖς λέγοντες ὅτι Οὗτος ἁμαρτωλοὺς προσδέχεται συνεσθίει αὐτοῖς
kai diegongyzon hoi te Pharisaioi hoi grammateis legontes hoti Houtos hamartōlous prosdechetai synesthiei autois
And were grumbling the both Pharisees - scribes saying - This sinners receives eats with to them

Εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτοὺς τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην λέγων

Τίς ἄνθρωπος ἐξ ὑμῶν ἔχων ἑκατὸν πρόβατα καὶ ἀπολέσας αὐτῶν ἓν οὐ καταλείπει τὰ ἐνενήκοντα ἐννέα ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ πορεύεται ἐπὶ τὸ ἀπολωλὸς ἕως εὕρῃ αὐτό;
Tis anthrōpos ex hymōn echōn hekaton probata kai apolesas autōn hen ou kataleipei ta enenēkonta ennea en tē erēmō poreuetai epi to apolōlos heōs heurē auto
Who a man out of you having hundreds sheep And having lost of them one not leaves the ninety nine in the wilderness he goes at the having been lost until he should find it?

καὶ εὑρὼν ἐπιτίθησιν ἐπὶ τοὺς ὤμους αὐτοῦ χαίρων
kai heurōn epitithēsin epi tous ōmous autou chairōn
And having found he lays [it] at the shoulders of Him’” rejoicing

καὶ ἐλθὼν εἰς τὸν οἶκον συνκαλεῖ τοὺς φίλους γείτονας λέγων αὐτοῖς Συνχάρητέ μοι ὅτι εὗρον τὸ πρόβατόν μου ἀπολωλός
kai elthōn eis ton oikon synkalei tous philous geitonas legōn autois Syncharēte moi hoti heuron to probaton mou apolōlos
And having come for the house he calls together the friends neighbors saying to them Rejoice with Me - having found the sheep of Me having been lost

λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὕτως χαρὰ ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ ἔσται ἐπὶ ἑνὶ ἁμαρτωλῷ μετανοοῦντι ἢ ἐνενήκοντα ἐννέα δικαίοις οἵτινες οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν μετανοίας
legō hymin hoti houtōs chara en tō ouranō estai epi heni hamartōlō metanoounti ē enenēkonta ennea dikaiois hoitines ou chreian echousin metanoias
I say to you - thus joy in - heaven it will be at to one sinful repenting or ninety nine righteous ones such as not need have of repentance

Ἢ τίς γυνὴ δραχμὰς ἔχουσα δέκα ἐὰν ἀπολέσῃ δραχμὴν μίαν οὐχὶ ἅπτει λύχνον καὶ σαροῖ τὴν οἰκίαν ζητεῖ ἐπιμελῶς ἕως οὗ εὕρῃ;
ē tis gynē drachmas echousa deka ean apolesē drachmēn mian ouchi haptei lychnon kai saroi tēn oikian zētei epimelōs heōs hou heurē
Or who a woman drachmas having ten if it might destroy drachma one Do not lights a lamp And sweeps the house seeks carefully until of whom she finds?

καὶ εὑροῦσα συνκαλεῖ τὰς φίλας γείτονας λέγουσα Συνχάρητέ μοι ὅτι εὗρον τὴν δραχμὴν ἣν ἀπώλεσα
kai heurousa synkalei tas philas geitonas legousa Syncharēte moi hoti heuron tēn drachmēn hēn apōlesa
And having found [it] he calls together the friends neighbors saying Rejoice with Me - having found the drachma that I lost

οὕτως λέγω ὑμῖν γίνεται χαρὰ ἐνώπιον τῶν ἀγγέλων τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐπὶ ἑνὶ ἁμαρτωλῷ μετανοοῦντι

καὶ εἶπεν ὁ νεώτερος αὐτῶν τῷ πατρί Πάτερ δός μοι τὸ ἐπιβάλλον μέρος τῆς οὐσίας δὲ διεῖλεν αὐτοῖς τὸν βίον
kai eipen ho neōteros autōn tō patri Pater dos moi to epiballon meros tēs ousias de dieilen autois ton bion
And said - younger of them - father Father give Me the falling [to me] place - property however he divided to them the livelihood

Καὶ μετ’ οὐ πολλὰς ἡμέρας συναγαγὼν πάντα ὁ νεώτερος υἱὸς ἀπεδήμησεν εἰς χώραν μακράν καὶ ἐκεῖ διεσκόρπισεν τὴν οὐσίαν αὐτοῦ ζῶν ἀσώτως
kai met’ ou pollas hēmeras synagagōn panta ho neōteros huios apedēmēsen eis chōran makran kai ekei dieskorpisen tēn ousian autou zōn asōtōs
And with not many days having gathered together all - younger son traveled abroad for region distant And there He has scattered the estate of Him’” living prodigally

kai poreutheis ekollēthē heni tōn politōn tēs chōras ekeinēs epempsen auton eis tous agrous autou boskein choirous
And having gone he joined himself to one of the citizens - country that sent him for the region of Him’” to feed pigs

καὶ ἐπεθύμει γεμίσαι τὴν κοιλίαν αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῶν κερατίων ὧν ἤσθιον οἱ χοῖροι οὐδεὶς ἐδίδου αὐτῷ
kai epethymei gemisai tēn koilian autou ek tōn keratiōn hōn ēsthion hoi choiroi oudeis edidou autō
And he was longing to fill the belly of Him’” from of the pods of what things were eating - pigs no one began yielding to Him

Εἰς ἑαυτὸν δὲ ἐλθὼν ἔφη Πόσοι μίσθιοι τοῦ πατρός μου περισσεύονται ἄρτων ἐγὼ λιμῷ ὧδε ἀπόλλυμαι
Eis heauton de elthōn ephē Posoi misthioi tou patros mou perisseuontai artōn egō limō hōde apollymai
To himself however having come He was saying How many hired servants of the father of Me have abundance with bread I with hunger here am perishing?

ἀναστὰς πορεύσομαι πρὸς τὸν πατέρα μου καὶ ἐρῶ αὐτῷ Πάτερ ἥμαρτον εἰς οὐρανὸν ἐνώπιόν σου

Καὶ ἀναστὰς ἦλθεν πρὸς τὸν πατέρα ἑαυτοῦ ἔτι δὲ αὐτοῦ μακρὰν ἀπέχοντος εἶδεν αὐτὸν ὁ πατὴρ καὶ ἐσπλαγχνίσθη δραμὼν ἐπέπεσεν ἐπὶ τράχηλον κατεφίλησεν αὐτόν
kai anastas ēlthen pros ton patera heautou eti de autou makran apechontos eiden auton ho patēr kai esplanchnisthē dramōn epepesen epi trachēlon katephilēsen auton
And having risen up [that] came to the father itself still however of Him’” far being distant he saw him - father And was moved with compassion having run fell at neck he kissed Him

Εἶπεν δὲ ὁ πατὴρ πρὸς τοὺς δούλους αὐτοῦ Ταχὺ ἐξενέγκατε στολὴν τὴν πρώτην καὶ ἐνδύσατε αὐτόν δότε δακτύλιον εἰς χεῖρα ὑποδήματα πόδας
Eipen de ho patēr pros tous doulous autou Tachy exenenkate stolēn tēn prōtēn kai endysate auton dote daktylion eis cheira hypodēmata podas
Said however - father to the servants of Him’” Quickly bring out a robe the best And clothe Him give a ring for hand sandals feet

καὶ φέρετε τὸν μόσχον σιτευτόν θύσατε φαγόντες εὐφρανθῶμεν

And Bring the calf fattened kill [it] having eaten of let us be merry

ὅτι οὗτος ὁ υἱός μου νεκρὸς ἦν καὶ ἀνέζησεν ἀπολωλὼς εὑρέθη ἤρξαντο εὐφραίνεσθαι
