Luke 9 | Luke 11

10:1

Μετὰ δὲ ταῦτα ἀνέδειξεν ὁ Κύριος ‹καὶ› ἑτέρους ἑβδομήκοντα ‹δύο› καὶ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτοὺς ἀνὰ δύο πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ εἰς πᾶσαν πόλιν τόπον οὗ ἤμελλεν αὐτὸς ἔρχεσθαι

Meta de tauta anedeixen ho Kyrios kai heterous hebdomēkonta dyo kai apesteilen autous ana dyo pro prosōpou autou eis pasan polin topon hou ēmellen autos erchesthai

After however these things appointed - Lord also others seventy two And He sent they through two before face of Him’” for all city a place of whom was about He to come

10:2

ἔλεγεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτούς Ὁ μὲν θερισμὸς πολύς οἱ ἐργάται ὀλίγοι δεήθητε οὖν τοῦ Κυρίου θερισμοῦ ὅπως ἐργάτας ἐκβάλῃ εἰς τὸν θερισμὸν αὐτοῦ

elegen de pros autous ho men therismos polys hoi ergatai oligoi deēthēte oun tou Kyriou therismou hopōs ergatas ekbalē eis ton therismon autou

He said however to them - - harvest great - workmen few Beseech therefore of the of [the] Lord harvest how workmen He should cast forth for the harvest of Him’”

10:3

Ὑπάγετε ἰδοὺ ἀποστέλλω ὑμᾶς ὡς ἄρνας ἐν μέσῳ λύκων

Hypagete idou apostellō hymas hōs arnas en mesō lykōn

Go Behold I send you as lambs in the midst of wolves

10:4

μὴ βαστάζετε βαλλάντιον πήραν ὑποδήματα καὶ μηδένα κατὰ τὴν ὁδὸν ἀσπάσησθε

mē bastazete ballantion pēran hypodēmata kai mēdena kata tēn hodon aspasēsthe

not carry purse bag sandals And no one with the way you greet

10:5

Εἰς ἣν δ’ ἂν εἰσέλθητε οἰκίαν πρῶτον λέγετε Εἰρήνη τῷ οἴκῳ τούτῳ

Eis hēn d’ an eiselthēte oikian prōton legete Eirēnē tō oikō toutō

To that however - you enter house first say [that] Peace - [the] house to this [man]

10:6

καὶ ἐὰν ἐκεῖ ⇔ ᾖ υἱὸς εἰρήνης ἐπαναπαήσεται ἐπ’ αὐτὸν ἡ εἰρήνη ὑμῶν εἰ δὲ μή¦γε ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς ἀνακάμψει

kai ean ekei ē huios eirēnēs epanapaēsetai ep’ auton hē eirēnē hymōn ei de mēge eph’ hymas anakampsei

And if there he might be son of peace will rest in him the peace you if however otherwise against you it will return

10:7

ἐν αὐτῇ δὲ τῇ οἰκίᾳ μένετε ἐσθίοντες* καὶ πίνοντες τὰ παρ’ αὐτῶν ἄξιος γὰρ ὁ ἐργάτης τοῦ μισθοῦ αὐτοῦ μὴ μεταβαίνετε ἐξ οἰκίας εἰς οἰκίαν

en autē de tē oikia menete esthiontes kai pinontes ta par’ autōn axios gar ho ergatēs tou misthou autou mē metabainete ex oikias eis oikian

in on her however the house remain eating And drinking the belonging to of them worthy [is] for - workman of the wages of Him’” not move out of houses for house

10:8

Καὶ εἰς ἣν ἂν πόλιν εἰσέρχησθε καὶ δέχωνται ὑμᾶς ἐσθίετε τὰ παρατιθέμενα ὑμῖν

kai eis hēn an polin eiserchēsthe kai dechōntai hymas esthiete ta paratithemena hymin

And for that - city you might enter And might receive you do you eat the set before to you

10:9

καὶ θεραπεύετε τοὺς ἐν αὐτῇ ἀσθενεῖς λέγετε αὐτοῖς Ἤγγικεν ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ

kai therapeuete tous en autē astheneis legete autois Ēngiken eph’ hymas hē basileia tou Theou

And heal the in on her [the] sick say [that] to them Has drawn near against you the kingdom of the of God

10:10

Εἰς ἣν δ’ ἂν πόλιν εἰσέλθητε καὶ μὴ δέχωνται ὑμᾶς ἐξελθόντες εἰς τὰς πλατείας αὐτῆς εἴπατε

Eis hēn d’ an polin eiselthēte kai mē dechōntai hymas exelthontes eis tas plateias autēs eipate

To that however - city you enter And not might receive you having gone forth for the streets her say

10:11

Καὶ τὸν κονιορτὸν κολληθέντα ἡμῖν ἐκ τῆς πόλεως ὑμῶν εἰς τοὺς πόδας ἀπομασσόμεθα ὑμῖν πλὴν τοῦτο γινώσκετε ὅτι ἤγγικεν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ

kai ton koniorton kollēthenta hēmin ek tēs poleōs hymōn eis tous podas apomassometha hymin plēn touto ginōskete hoti ēngiken hē basileia tou Theou

And the dust having clung to us from - city you for the feet we wipe off to you besides this you know - has drawn near the kingdom of the of God

10:12

λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι Σοδόμοις ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἀνεκτότερον ἔσται ἢ πόλει

legō hymin hoti Sodomois en tē hēmera ekeinē anektoteron estai ē polei

I say to you - for Sodom in the days those more tolerable it will be or town

10:13

Οὐαί σοι Χοραζίν οὐαί Βηθσαϊδά ὅτι εἰ ἐν Τύρῳ καὶ Σιδῶνι ἐγενήθησαν αἱ δυνάμεις γενόμεναι ὑμῖν πάλαι ἂν σάκκῳ σποδῷ καθήμενοι μετενόησαν

Ouai soi Chorazin ouai Bēthsaida hoti ei en Tyrō kai Sidōni egenēthēsan hai dynameis genomenai hymin palai an sakkō spodō kathēmenoi metenoēsan

Woe to You Chorazin Woe Bethsaida - if in Tyre And Sidon had taken place the miracles having come to pass to you already - sackcloth ashes sitting they repented

10:14

πλὴν Τύρῳ καὶ Σιδῶνι ἀνεκτότερον ἔσται ἐν τῇ κρίσει ἢ ὑμῖν

plēn Tyrō kai Sidōni anektoteron estai en tē krisei ē hymin

besides Tyre And Sidon more tolerable it will be in the judgment’ or to you

10:15

καὶ σύ Καφαρναούμ μὴ ἕως οὐρανοῦ ὑψωθήσῃ; τοῦ ᾅδου καταβήσῃ

kai sy Kapharnaoum mē heōs ouranou hypsōthēsē tou hadou katabēsē

And You Capernaum not until air will be exalted of the Hades will be brought down

10:16

Ὁ ἀκούων ὑμῶν ἐμοῦ ἀκούει καὶ ὁ ἀθετῶν ὑμᾶς ἐμὲ ἀθετεῖ δὲ τὸν ἀποστείλαντά με

ho akouōn hymōn emou akouei kai ho athetōn hymas eme athetei de ton aposteilanta me

- hearing you Me hears And - rejecting you Me rejects however the having sent me

10:17

Ὑπέστρεψαν δὲ οἱ ἑβδομήκοντα ‹δύο› μετὰ χαρᾶς λέγοντες Κύριε καὶ τὰ δαιμόνια ὑποτάσσεται ἡμῖν ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί σου

Hypestrepsan de hoi hebdomēkonta dyo meta charas legontes Kyrie kai ta daimonia hypotassetai hēmin en tō onomati sou

Returned however - seventy two with joy saying Lord And the demons are subject to us in - name of You

10:18

Εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς Ἐθεώρουν τὸν Σατανᾶν ὡς ἀστραπὴν ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ πεσόντα

Eipen de autois Etheōroun ton Satanan hōs astrapēn ek tou ouranou pesonta

Said however to them I beheld the Satan as lightning from of the air having fallen

10:19

ἰδοὺ δέδωκα ὑμῖν τὴν ἐξουσίαν τοῦ πατεῖν ἐπάνω ὄφεων καὶ σκορπίων ἐπὶ πᾶσαν δύναμιν ἐχθροῦ οὐδὲν ὑμᾶς οὐ μὴ ἀδικήσῃ*

idou dedōka hymin tēn exousian tou patein epanō opheōn kai skorpiōn epi pasan dynamin echthrou ouden hymas ou mē adikēsē

Behold I give to you the authority of the to tread for above serpents And scorpions at all power enemy anything you not not will injure

10:20

πλὴν ἐν τούτῳ μὴ χαίρετε ὅτι τὰ πνεύματα ὑμῖν ὑποτάσσεται δὲ ὀνόματα ὑμῶν ἐνγέγραπται τοῖς οὐρανοῖς

plēn en toutō mē chairete hoti ta pneumata hymin hypotassetai de onomata hymōn engegraptai tois ouranois

besides in to this [man] not Rejoice - the spirits to you are subject however names you are written on the heavens

10:21

Ἐν αὐτῇ τῇ ὥρᾳ ἠγαλλιάσατο [ἐν] τῷ Πνεύματι Ἁγίῳ καὶ εἶπεν Ἐξομολογοῦμαί σοι Πάτερ Κύριε τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῆς γῆς ὅτι ἀπέκρυψας ταῦτα ἀπὸ σοφῶν συνετῶν ἀπεκάλυψας αὐτὰ νηπίοις ναί ὁ Πατήρ οὕτως εὐδοκία ἐγένετο ἔμπροσθέν σου

en autē tē hōra ēgalliasato en tō Pneumati Hagiō kai eipen Exomologoumai soi Pater Kyrie tou ouranou tēs gēs hoti apekrypsas tauta apo sophōn synetōn apekalypsas auta nēpiois nai ho Patēr houtōs eudokia egeneto emprosthen sou

By on her the hour He rejoiced in - [the] Spirit Holy And said I fully consent to You Father Lord of the air - land - You have hidden these things from wise learned did reveal them to little children ‘Yes - Father thus well-pleasing it came to pass before of You

10:22

Πάντα μοι παρεδόθη ὑπὸ τοῦ Πατρός μου καὶ οὐδεὶς γινώσκει τίς ἐστιν ὁ Υἱὸς εἰ μὴ Πατήρ Πατὴρ ᾧ ἐὰν βούληται ἀποκαλύψαι

Panta moi paredothē hypo tou Patros mou kai oudeis ginōskei tis estin ho Huios ei mē Patēr Patēr hō ean boulētai apokalypsai

All things Me had been delivered up by of the Father of Me And no one he is aware who is - Son if not Father Father which if might choose to reveal [Him]

10:23

Καὶ στραφεὶς πρὸς τοὺς μαθητὰς κατ’ ἰδίαν εἶπεν Μακάριοι οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ βλέποντες ἃ βλέπετε

kai strapheis pros tous mathētas kat’ idian eipen Makarioi hoi ophthalmoi blepontes ha blepete

And having turned to the disciples With private said Blessed [are] - eyes seeing what take heed

10:24

λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν ὅτι πολλοὶ προφῆται καὶ βασιλεῖς ἠθέλησαν ἰδεῖν ἃ ὑμεῖς βλέπετε οὐκ εἶδαν ἀκοῦσαι ἀκούετε ἤκουσαν

legō gar hymin hoti polloi prophētai kai basileis ēthelēsan idein ha hymeis blepete ouk eidan akousai akouete ēkousan

I say for to you - many prophets And kings they desired to see what you take heed not saw to hear you hear heard [it]

10:25

Καὶ ἰδοὺ νομικός τις ἀνέστη ἐκπειράζων αὐτὸν λέγων Διδάσκαλε τί ποιήσας ζωὴν αἰώνιον κληρονομήσω;

kai idou nomikos tis anestē ekpeirazōn auton legōn Didaskale ti poiēsas zōēn aiōnion klēronomēsō

And Behold a lawyer anyone has risen up testing him saying Teacher Which having done life eternal I might inherit?

10:26

Ὁ δὲ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτόν Ἐν τῷ νόμῳ τί γέγραπται; πῶς ἀναγινώσκεις;

ho de eipen pros auton en tō nomō ti gegraptai pōs anaginōskeis

- however said to Him By - law Which has been written? How read you?

10:27

Ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Ἀγαπήσεις Κύριον τὸν Θεόν σου ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας καὶ ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ ψυχῇ ἰσχύϊ διανοίᾳ Τὸν πλησίον ὡς σεαυτόν

ho de apokritheis eipen Agapēseis Kyrion ton Theon sou ex holēs tēs kardias kai en holē tē psychē ischui dianoia Ton plēsion hōs seauton

- however He answering said You shall love [the] Lord the by God of You out of all - heart And in all the life strength mind The neighbor as yourself’

10:28

Εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ Ὀρθῶς ἀπεκρίθης τοῦτο ποίει καὶ ζήσῃ

Eipen de autō Orthōs apekrithēs touto poiei kai zēsē

Said however to Him Rightly you have answered this do And she shall live

10:29

Ὁ δὲ θέλων δικαιῶσαι ἑαυτὸν εἶπεν πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν Καὶ τίς ἐστίν μου πλησίον;

ho de thelōn dikaiōsai heauton eipen pros ton Iēsoun kai tis estin mou plēsion

- however willing to justify himself said to the Jesus And who He is of Me neighbor?

10:30

Ὑπολαβὼν ‹δὲ› ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Ἄνθρωπός τις κατέβαινεν ἀπὸ Ἰερουσαλὴμ εἰς Ἰεριχὼ καὶ λῃσταῖς περιέπεσεν οἳ ἐκδύσαντες αὐτὸν πληγὰς ἐπιθέντες ἀπῆλθον ἀφέντες ἡμιθανῆ

hypolabōn de ho Iēsous eipen Anthrōpos tis katebainen apo Ierousalēm eis Ierichō kai lēstais periepesen hoi ekdysantes auton plēgas epithentes apēlthon aphentes hēmithanē

Having taken [it] up now - Jesus said A man anyone was going down from Jerusalem for Jericho — And robbers fell among who having stripped him wounds having inflicted they went away having left half dead

10:31

Κατὰ συγκυρίαν δὲ ἱερεύς τις κατέβαινεν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐκείνῃ καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτὸν ἀντιπαρῆλθεν

Kata synkyrian de hiereus tis katebainen en tē hodō ekeinē kai idōn auton antiparēlthen

At chance however a priest anyone was going down in the way those And having seen him he passed by on the opposite side

10:32

Ὁμοίως δὲ καὶ Λευίτης [γενόμενος] κατὰ τὸν τόπον ἐλθὼν ἰδὼν ἀντιπαρῆλθεν

homoiōs de kai Leuitēs genomenos kata ton topon elthōn idōn antiparēlthen

Likewise however And a Levite having come with the a place having come having seen he passed by on the opposite side

10:33

Σαμαρίτης δέ τις ὁδεύων ἦλθεν κατ’ αὐτὸν καὶ ἰδὼν ἐσπλαγχνίσθη

Samaritēs de tis hodeuōn ēlthen kat’ auton kai idōn esplanchnisthē

A Samaritan now anyone journeying [that] came With him And having seen was moved with compassion

10:34

καὶ προσελθὼν κατέδησεν τὰ τραύματα αὐτοῦ ἐπιχέων ἔλαιον οἶνον ἐπιβιβάσας δὲ αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸ ἴδιον κτῆνος ἤγαγεν εἰς πανδοχεῖον ἐπεμελήθη

kai proselthōn katedēsen ta traumata autou epicheōn elaion oinon epibibasas de auton epi to idion ktēnos ēgagen eis pandocheion epemelēthē

And having come to [her] he bound up the wounds of Him’” pouring on oil wine having put however him at the own beast he brought for an inn took care

10:35

Καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν αὔριον ἐκβαλὼν ««δύο δηνάρια» ⇔ ἔδωκεν τῷ πανδοχεῖ καὶ εἶπεν Ἐπιμελήθητι αὐτοῦ ὅ τι ἂν προσδαπανήσῃς ἐγὼ ἐν ἐπανέρχεσθαί με ἀποδώσω σοι

kai epi tēn aurion ekbalōn dyo dēnaria edōken tō pandochei kai eipen Epimelēthēti autou ho ti an prosdapanēsēs egō en epanerchesthai me apodōsō soi

And at the tomorrow having put out two denarii he gave - innkeeper And said Take care of Him’” which anything - you might expend I in returning me I will pay to You

10:36

Τίς τούτων τῶν τριῶν πλησίον δοκεῖ σοι γεγονέναι τοῦ ἐμπεσόντος εἰς τοὺς λῃστάς;

Tis toutōn tōn triōn plēsion dokei soi gegonenai tou empesontos eis tous lēstas

Who these of the three neighbor do think to You to have been of the having fallen for the robbers?

10:37

Ὁ δὲ εἶπεν ποιήσας τὸ ἔλεος μετ’ αὐτοῦ Εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς Πορεύου καὶ σὺ ποίει ὁμοίως

ho de eipen poiēsas to eleos met’ autou Eipen autō ho Iēsous Poreuou kai sy poiei homoiōs

- however said having done the mercy with of Him’” Said to Him - Jesus Go And yourself do likewise

10:38

Ἐν δὲ τῷ πορεύεσθαι αὐτοὺς αὐτὸς εἰσῆλθεν εἰς κώμην τινά γυνὴ δέ τις ὀνόματι Μάρθα ὑπεδέξατο αὐτὸν 〈〈εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν〉

en de tō poreuesthai autous autos eisēlthen eis kōmēn tina gynē de tis onomati Martha hypedexato auton eis tēn oikian

By however - to go they He he entered for village certain a woman now anyone named Martha received him into the home

10:39

καὶ τῇδε ἦν ἀδελφὴ καλουμένη Μαριάμ ἣ παρακαθεσθεῖσα πρὸς τοὺς πόδας τοῦ Κυρίου ἤκουεν τὸν λόγον αὐτοῦ

kai tēde ēn adelphē kaloumenē Mariam hē parakathestheisa pros tous podas tou Kyriou ēkouen ton logon autou

And she was sister is called [was] Mary who having sat down to the feet of the of [the] Lord heard the matter of Him’”

10:40

ἡ δὲ Μάρθα περιεσπᾶτο περὶ πολλὴν διακονίαν ἐπιστᾶσα εἶπεν Κύριε οὐ μέλει σοι ὅτι ἀδελφή μου μόνην με κατέλειπεν διακονεῖν; εἰπὲ* οὖν αὐτῇ ἵνα μοι συναντιλάβηται

hē de Martha periespato peri pollēn diakonian epistasa eipen Kyrie ou melei soi hoti adelphē mou monēn me kateleipen diakonein eipe oun autē hina moi synantilabētai

the however Martha was distracted around much service having come up said Lord not is it concern to You - sister of Me alone me has left to serve? Speak therefore on her so that Me she might help

10:41

Ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῇ ὁ Κύριος Μάρθα μεριμνᾷς καὶ θορυβάζῃ περὶ πολλά

apokritheis de eipen autē ho Kyrios Martha merimnas kai thorybazē peri polla

Answering however said on her - Lord Martha you are anxious And troubled around many things

10:42

ὀλίγων δέ ἐστιν χρεία ἢ ἑνός Μαριὰμ γὰρ τὴν ἀγαθὴν μερίδα ἐξελέξατο ἥτις οὐκ ἀφαιρεθήσεται αὐτῆς

oligōn de estin chreia ē henos Mariam gar tēn agathēn merida exelexato hētis ouk aphairethēsetai autēs

one thing now is necessary or one thing Mary? for the good portion He chose which not will be taken away from her
