15:1
Τότε προσέρχονται τῷ Ἰησοῦ ἀπὸ Ἱεροσολύμων Φαρισαῖοι καὶ γραμματεῖς λέγοντες
Tote proserchontai tō Iēsou apo Hierosolymōn Pharisaioi kai grammateis legontes
Then come - of Jesus from Jerusalem Pharisees And scribes saying

Διὰ τί οἱ μαθηταί σου παραβαίνουσιν τὴν παράδοσιν τῶν πρεσβυτέρων; οὐ γὰρ νίπτονται τὰς χεῖρας ‹αὐτῶν› ὅταν ἄρτον ἐσθίωσιν
Dia ti hoi mathētai sou parabainousin tēn paradosin tōn presbyterōn ou gar niptontai tas cheiras autōn hotan arton esthiōsin
Because of Which - disciples of You break the tradition of the elders? not for they wash the hands of them when bread they shall eat

Ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Διὰ τί καὶ ὑμεῖς παραβαίνετε τὴν ἐντολὴν τοῦ Θεοῦ διὰ παράδοσιν ὑμῶν;
ho de apokritheis eipen autois Dia ti kai hymeis parabainete tēn entolēn tou Theou dia paradosin hymōn
- however He answering said to them Because of Which And you break the commandment of the of God on account of tradition of you?

ὁ γὰρ Θεὸς εἶπεν Τίμα τὸν πατέρα καὶ τὴν μητέρα καί Ὁ κακολογῶν ἢ θανάτῳ τελευτάτω
ho gar Theos eipen Tima ton patera kai tēn mētera kai ho kakologōn ē thanatō teleutatō
- for God said Honor the father And the mother and - speaking evil of or in death must end’

ὑμεῖς δὲ λέγετε Ὃς ἂν εἴπῃ τῷ πατρὶ ἢ τῇ μητρί Δῶρον ὃ ἐὰν ἐξ ἐμοῦ ὠφεληθῇς
hymeis de legete Hos an eipē tō patri ē tē mētri Dōron ho ean ex emou ōphelēthēs
you however say [that] He who - says - father or the mother a gift that which if out of Me you might be profited

οὐ μὴ τιμήσει τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ 〈〈ἢ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ〉 καὶ ἠκυρώσατε λόγον τοῦ Θεοῦ διὰ παράδοσιν ὑμῶν
ou mē timēsei ton patera autou ē tēn mētera autou kai ēkyrōsate logon tou Theou dia paradosin hymōn
not not he shall honor the father of Him’” or the mother of himself And you made void matter of the of God on account of tradition you

ὑποκριταί καλῶς ἐπροφήτευσεν περὶ ὑμῶν Ἠσαΐας λέγων

Ὁ λαὸς οὗτος τοῖς χείλεσίν με τιμᾷ Ἡ δὲ καρδία αὐτῶν πόρρω ἀπέχει ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ
ho laos houtos tois cheilesin me tima HĒ de kardia autōn porrō apechei ap’ emou
- people this [man] on the lips me honors The however heart of them far away is kept from Me

Μάτην δὲ σέβονταί με Διδάσκοντες διδασκαλίας ἐντάλματα ἀνθρώπων
matēn de sebontai me didaskontes didaskalias entalmata anthrōpōn
In vain however they worship me teaching [as] doctrines [the] precepts of men

Καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος τὸν ὄχλον εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἀκούετε καὶ συνίετε

And having called to [Him] the crowd said to them Listen And understand

οὐ τὸ εἰσερχόμενον εἰς στόμα κοινοῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἀλλὰ ἐκπορευόμενον ἐκ τοῦ στόματος τοῦτο
ou to eiserchomenon eis stoma koinoi ton anthrōpon alla ekporeuomenon ek tou stomatos touto
not the is entering for mouth defiles the man But going forth from of the [the] mouth this

Τότε προσελθόντες οἱ μαθηταὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Οἶδας ὅτι Φαρισαῖοι ἀκούσαντες τὸν λόγον ἐσκανδαλίσθησαν;
Tote proselthontes hoi mathētai legousin autō Oidas hoti Pharisaioi akousantes ton logon eskandalisthēsan
Then having come - disciples they speak to Him Know You - Pharisees having heard [of it] the matter were offended?

Ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Πᾶσα φυτεία ἣν οὐκ ἐφύτευσεν ὁ Πατήρ μου οὐράνιος ἐκριζωθήσεται
ho de apokritheis eipen Pasa phyteia hēn ouk ephyteusen ho Patēr mou ouranios ekrizōthēsetai
- however He answering said Every plant that not planted - Father of Me Heavenly it will be rooted up

ἄφετε αὐτούς τυφλοί εἰσιν ὁδηγοί τυφλῶν τυφλὸς δὲ τυφλὸν ἐὰν ὁδηγῇ ἀμφότεροι εἰς βόθυνον πεσοῦνται
aphete autous typhloi eisin hodēgoi typhlōn typhlos de typhlon ean hodēgē amphoteroi eis bothynon pesountai
Allow them blind [men] are guides of the blind blind however a blind [man] if they lead both for a pit will fall

Ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Πέτρος εἶπεν αὐτῷ Φράσον ἡμῖν τὴν παραβολήν ‹ταύτην›

οὐ νοεῖτε ὅτι πᾶν τὸ εἰσπορευόμενον εἰς στόμα τὴν κοιλίαν χωρεῖ καὶ ἀφεδρῶνα ἐκβάλλεται;
ou noeite hoti pan to eisporeuomenon eis stoma tēn koilian chōrei kai aphedrōna ekballetai
not understand you - everything the entering for mouth the belly goes And sewer is cast out?

τὰ δὲ ἐκπορευόμενα ἐκ τοῦ στόματος τῆς καρδίας ἐξέρχεται κἀκεῖνα κοινοῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον
ta de ekporeuomena ek tou stomatos tēs kardias exerchetai kakeina koinoi ton anthrōpon
the however going forth from of the [the] mouth - heart come forth and these defiles the man

ἐκ γὰρ τῆς καρδίας ἐξέρχονται διαλογισμοὶ πονηροί φόνοι μοιχεῖαι πορνεῖαι κλοπαί ψευδομαρτυρίαι βλασφημίαι

from for - heart come forth thoughts evil murders adulteries sexual immorality thefts false testimonies blasphemies

ταῦτά ἐστιν τὰ κοινοῦντα τὸν ἄνθρωπον τὸ δὲ ἀνίπτοις χερσὶν φαγεῖν οὐ κοινοῖ
tauta estin ta koinounta ton anthrōpon to de aniptois chersin phagein ou koinoi
These is the defiling the man the however unwashed hands to eat not defiles

Καὶ ἐξελθὼν ἐκεῖθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἀνεχώρησεν εἰς τὰ μέρη Τύρου καὶ Σιδῶνος
kai exelthōn ekeithen ho Iēsous anechōrēsen eis ta merē Tyrou kai Sidōnos
And having gone out from there - Jesus withdrew for the district of Tyre And Sidon

καὶ ἰδοὺ γυνὴ Χαναναία ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων ἐκείνων ἐξελθοῦσα ἔκραζεν λέγουσα Ἐλέησόν με Κύριε υἱὸς Δαυίδ ἡ θυγάτηρ μου κακῶς δαιμονίζεται
kai idou gynē Chananaia apo tōn horiōn ekeinōn exelthousa ekrazen legousa Eleēson me Kyrie huios Dauid hē thygatēr mou kakōs daimonizetai
And Behold a woman Canaanite from of the region same having gone out he kept crying out saying Have mercy on me Lord son of David the daughter of Me sick is possessed by a demon

Ὁ δὲ οὐκ ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῇ λόγον καὶ προσελθόντες οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἠρώτουν αὐτὸν λέγοντες Ἀπόλυσον αὐτήν ὅτι κράζει ὄπισθεν ἡμῶν
ho de ouk apekrithē autē logon kai proselthontes hoi mathētai autou ērōtoun auton legontes Apolyson autēn hoti krazei opisthen hēmōn
- however not she answered on her matter And having come - disciples of Him’” were imploring him saying Dismiss her - she cries out behind us

ho de apokritheis eipen Ouk estin kalon labein ton arton tōn teknōn kai balein tois kynariois
- however He answering said Not is Good [is] to take the bread of the children And to cast [it] on the dogs

Ἡ δὲ εἶπεν Ναί κύριε καὶ γὰρ τὰ κυνάρια ἐσθίει ἀπὸ τῶν ψιχίων πιπτόντων τῆς τραπέζης κυρίων αὐτῶν
HĒ de eipen Nai kyrie kai gar ta kynaria esthiei apo tōn psichiōn piptontōn tēs trapezēs kyriōn autōn

Καὶ μεταβὰς ἐκεῖθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἦλθεν παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ ἀναβὰς εἰς τὸ ὄρος ἐκάθητο ἐκεῖ
kai metabas ekeithen ho Iēsous ēlthen para tēn thalassan tēs Galilaias kai anabas eis to oros ekathēto ekei
And having departed from there - Jesus [that] came by the Sea - of Galilee And having cried out for the mountain was sitting there

And came to Him crowds many being with them lame crippled blind mute others many they placed they by the feet of Him’” He healed them

ho de Iēsous proskalesamenos tous mathētas autou eipen Splanchnizomai epi ton ochlon hoti ēdē hēmerai treis prosmenousin moi kai ouk echousin ti phagōsin apolysai autous nēsteis ou thelō mē pote eklythōsin en tē hodō
- however Jesus having called to [Him] the disciples of Him’” said I am moved with compassion at the crowd - already [the] days three they continue Me And not have Which to eat to divorce they hungry not will lest ever they faint in the way
