5:1
Καὶ ἦλθον εἰς τὸ πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης τὴν χώραν τῶν Γερασηνῶν
kai ēlthon eis to peran tēs thalassēs tēn chōran tōn Gerasēnōn
And they came for the beyond - sea the region of the Gerasenes

5:2
καὶ ἐξελθόντος αὐτοῦ ἐκ τοῦ πλοίου εὐθὺς ὑπήντησεν αὐτῷ τῶν μνημείων ἄνθρωπος ἐν πνεύματι ἀκαθάρτῳ
kai exelthontos autou ek tou ploiou euthys hypēntēsen autō tōn mnēmeiōn anthrōpos en pneumati akathartō
And having gone forth of Him’” from of the boat immediately met to Him of the tombs a man in a spirit unclean

5:3
ὃς τὴν κατοίκησιν εἶχεν ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν καὶ οὐδὲ ἁλύσει οὐκέτι οὐδεὶς ἐδύνατο αὐτὸν δῆσαι
hos tēn katoikēsin eichen en tois mnēmasin kai oude halysei ouketi oudeis edynato auton dēsai
who the dwelling it had in on the tombs And nor with chains no longer no one was able him to bind

5:4
διὰ τὸ αὐτὸν πολλάκις πέδαις καὶ ἁλύσεσιν δεδέσθαι διεσπάσθαι ὑπ’ αὐτοῦ τὰς ἁλύσεις πέδας συντετρῖφθαι οὐδεὶς ἴσχυεν δαμάσαι
dia to auton pollakis pedais kai halysesin dedesthai diespasthai hyp’ autou tas halyseis pedas syntetriphthai oudeis ischyen damasai
on account of the him often with shackles And chains had been bound had been torn in two by of Him’” the chains shackles had been shattered no one was able to subdue

5:5
καὶ διὰ παντὸς νυκτὸς ἡμέρας ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν ὄρεσιν ἦν κράζων κατακόπτων ἑαυτὸν λίθοις
kai dia pantos nyktos hēmeras en tois mnēmasin oresin ēn krazōn katakoptōn heauton lithois
And on account of all night days in on the tombs mountains was crying out cutting himself with stones

5:6
Καὶ ἰδὼν τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἔδραμεν καὶ προσεκύνησεν αὐτόν

And having seen the Jesus from afar he ran And fell on his knees Him

5:7

And having cried in a voice loud He says What to me to You of Jesus Son of the of God Most High? I adjure You the by God not me torment

5:8
ἔλεγεν γὰρ αὐτῷ Ἔξελθε τὸ πνεῦμα ἀκάθαρτον ἐκ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου
elegen gar autō Exelthe to pneuma akatharton ek tou anthrōpou
He said for to Him You come forth the spirit unclean from of the of Man

5:9
Καὶ ἐπηρώτα αὐτόν Τί ὄνομά σοι; λέγει αὐτῷ Λεγιὼν μοι ὅτι πολλοί ἐσμεν

And He was asking Him What [the] name of you? He says to Him Legion Me - many we are

5:10
καὶ παρεκάλει αὐτὸν πολλὰ ἵνα μὴ αὐτὰ ἀποστείλῃ ἔξω τῆς χώρας

And he begged him many so that not them He would send out - country

5:11
Ἦν δὲ ἐκεῖ πρὸς τῷ ὄρει ἀγέλη χοίρων μεγάλη βοσκομένη

καὶ παρεκάλεσαν αὐτὸν λέγοντες Πέμψον ἡμᾶς εἰς τοὺς χοίρους ἵνα αὐτοὺς εἰσέλθωμεν

And they begged him saying Send us? for the pigs so that they we may enter

kai epetrepsen autois kai exelthonta ta pneumata akatharta eisēlthon eis tous choirous hōrmēsen hē agelē kata tou krēmnou tēn thalassan hōs dischilioi epnigonto en tē thalassē
And He allowed to them And having gone out the spirits unclean entered for the pigs rushed the a herd with of the steep bank the Sea as two thousand they were drowned in the sea

5:14
Καὶ οἱ βόσκοντες αὐτοὺς ἔφυγον καὶ ἀπήγγειλαν εἰς τὴν πόλιν τοὺς ἀγρούς ἦλθον ἰδεῖν τί ἐστιν τὸ γεγονός

καὶ ἔρχονται πρὸς τὸν Ἰησοῦν θεωροῦσιν δαιμονιζόμενον καθήμενον ἱματισμένον σωφρονοῦντα ἐσχηκότα λεγιῶνα ἐφοβήθησαν
kai erchontai pros ton Iēsoun theōrousin daimonizomenon kathēmenon himatismenon sōphronounta eschēkota legiōna ephobēthēsan
And they come to the Jesus see possessed by demons sitting clothed sound minded having had legion they feared

5:16
καὶ διηγήσαντο αὐτοῖς οἱ ἰδόντες πῶς ἐγένετο τῷ δαιμονιζομένῳ περὶ τῶν χοίρων
kai diēgēsanto autois hoi idontes pōs egeneto tō daimonizomenō peri tōn choirōn

5:17

And began to implore him to depart from of the region of them

καὶ οὐκ ἀφῆκεν αὐτόν ἀλλὰ λέγει αὐτῷ Ὕπαγε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου πρὸς τοὺς σούς ἀπάγγειλον αὐτοῖς ὅσα ὁ Κύριός σοι πεποίηκεν ἠλέησέν σε

And not left Him But He says to Him Go for the home of You to the your own report to them how much - Lord to You did had mercy on You

And he begs him many saying - The little daughter of Me at the end has so that having come You would lay the hands on her she might be cured she shall live

He said for - If I shall touch even of the garments of Him’” I will be healed

Ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῇ Θυγάτηρ ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε ὕπαγε εἰς εἰρήνην καὶ ἴσθι ὑγιὴς ἀπὸ τῆς μάστιγός
ho de eipen autē Thygatēr hē pistis sou sesōken se hypage eis eirēnēn kai isthi hygiēs apo tēs mastigos
- however said on her Daughter the faith of You has healed You go for peace And be sound from - affliction

5:35
Ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος ἔρχονται ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀρχισυναγώγου λέγοντες ὅτι Ἡ θυγάτηρ σου ἀπέθανεν τί ἔτι σκύλλεις τὸν διδάσκαλον;

[While] yet of Him’” is speaking they come from of the ruler of synagogue’s [house] saying - The daughter of You is dead Which still trouble you the Teacher?

5:36
Ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς παρακούσας τὸν λόγον λαλούμενον λέγει τῷ ἀρχισυναγώγῳ Μὴ φοβοῦ μόνον πίστευε
ho de Iēsous parakousas ton logon laloumenon legei tō archisynagōgō Mē phobou monon pisteue
- however Jesus having heard the matter spoken He says - ruler of the synagogue Not fear only believe

And they come for the house of the ruler of synagogue’s [house] And He beholds a commotion weeping wailing many things

5:39
καὶ εἰσελθὼν λέγει αὐτοῖς Τί θορυβεῖσθε κλαίετε; τὸ παιδίον οὐκ ἀπέθανεν ἀλλὰ καθεύδει
kai eiselthōn legei autois Ti thorybeisthe klaiete to paidion ouk apethanen alla katheudei
And having entered He says to them What make you commotion weep? the child not is dead But sleeps

5:40
καὶ κατεγέλων αὐτοῦ Αὐτὸς δὲ ἐκβαλὼν πάντας παραλαμβάνει τὸν πατέρα τοῦ παιδίου τὴν μητέρα τοὺς μετ’ εἰσπορεύεται ὅπου ἦν τὸ παιδίον

And they were laughing at of Him’” He however having put out all takes with [Him] the father of the child the mother the with enters in where was the child

καὶ κρατήσας τῆς χειρὸς τοῦ παιδίου λέγει αὐτῇ Ταλιθὰ κούμ ὅ ἐστιν μεθερμηνευόμενον Τὸ Κοράσιον σοὶ λέγω ἔγειρε
kai kratēsas tēs cheiros tou paidiou legei autē Talitha koum ho estin methermēneuomenon To korasion soi legō egeire
And having taken hold - hand of the child He says on her Talitha koum which is translated The Little girl You I say arise

καὶ εὐθὺς ἀνέστη τὸ κοράσιον περιεπάτει ἦν γὰρ ἐτῶν δώδεκα ἐξέστησαν ἐκστάσει μεγάλῃ
